Sophie ADOPTED
Sophie is a 10 month old female, small breed mix. Upon recue Sophie had a large gaping injury to her face. Sadly due to her injuries she has only minimal vision and has to have an eye removed. Thanks to many good people along the way, this girl was rescued and has been visiting the vet on a regular basis. Sophie will be best suited for a quiet, low key environment with no small children. Bohdie is what we believe to be a 3 year old Shih Tzu Mix – He is good with other dogs , cats and appears to be potty trained .He has tested neg. for heartworm , been vaccinated , started on heartworm and parasite prevention and is neutered. No small children .
Carmen Is moving to California
Carmen is a very sweet and low energy girl who would be best suited for a home without children and large dogs. Carmen was attacked by a large dog resulting in many sutures and a drainage tube .Because of this attack she is very nervous around large and very active dogs. She is currently in foster with 2 other medium sized low energy dogs and has adjusted well. Breed experienced homes preferred .

This is Kuno a 1.5 year old Great Dane. Kuno was neglected by his former "owner" Upon rescue Kuno weighed an appalling 72 pounds , had a horrible skin infection as well as loose and broken teeth. Due to his size NO homes with small children! As with any dog make sure to research the breed thoroughly when considering adoption.
UPDATE: Kuno is now 122 pounds and looks great ! It is hard to understand how he could have been treated so poorly but still trust and love people.

Adopted By Her Foster Mom!
Karma is a 6 month old Doberman
At times she is a normal high energy puppy.
At other times it appears that she cannot control her body. She has ataxia (walking/running like she's drunk.) She has learned to go to "her chair" when she is unable to stand or walk.
If she is outside and becomes unable to walk her foster mom has to pick her up and carry her in the house. She is growing and getting heavy.Whomever adopts her must be aware that these incidents occur daily. The adopter must be committed to loving her as she is. This requires patience, compassion, and strength.She is crate trained (does not soil her crate) and gets along well with other dogs and cats. Please understand that Karma's foster mom is working hand in hand with the vet to provide the BEST possible care and diagnostic testing to find the cause of this but it may be a neurological issues that may last her lifetime.

Costello - Adopted !! Congrats Swartz family!!!
This is Costello he is about 10 months to a year old .S-NAP pulled him from Saginaw Co. after receiving a urgent call for rescue. What a "firecracker" this guy is ! He LOVES to play , play and play some more. Costello loves cats ,and kids but can be pushy when it comes to play - He would be best suited for a home with NO small children . His foster family is working on play etiquette with him as he thinks anything goes when its playtime. Costello is picky about the friends he keeps and needs to meet other dogs a few times to feel comfortable . He would fit best with an adopter who is familiar with Terrier breeds and would love to find a family with a active lifestyle . We are working on potty training - he is not potty trained as of yet . This guy came in with NO training and is a "work in progress" In just the short time that he has been with us he has learned to sit and play with toys (he had NO idea what a toy was all about) and walk on a leash. This guy truly is a diamond in the rough and we are happy to have given him a second chance at a long and happy life.

"JETT" ADOPTED :)
Jett is a 3 month old female Lab X who gets along well with other dogs and cats. She LOVES children but might have a little too much energy for toddlers (she would knock them down with kisses) Jett has ALOT of energy and would fit best with a active adopter. Potty training is going great ! A few mistakes here and there but well on her way . Puppy obedience classes would be a great idea for helping Jett bond with her new owner and polishing off her manners.Labs are very ACTIVE and LOYAL companions . Tori is a female Terrier mix . She is 14 weeks old , good with cats ,other dogs and older children . Due to her size she will not be adopted to homes with children under the age of 10 . She has a ton of energy and is always on the go . Her new owners should be familiar with Terrier breeds as they can be very tenacious and stubborn. Tori is working on her potty training but is not “house trained” as of yet .
