S-NAP also has a network of licensed wildlife rehabilitators dedicated to the
preservation and care of wildlife. The mission of these rehabbers is to address
the concerns of orphaned and injured wildlife within the state of Michigan.
Wildlife conservation remains a major concern in today's society. With more
and more natural areas depleted, wildlife must adapt to an ever changing society
and environment. If you have found injured or orphaned wildlife please feel
free to email us. Please remember that every licensed rehabber holds a permit
for care of different species and we will do our best to help locate the
appropriate facility to direct you to.

Remember
Not all wildlife found is orphaned . Many times the parents are keeping a
close eye on the baby and continuing to feed it . Sometimes the orphan
is better off without human intervention, as was the case with the Waxwing seen
here in the photo. He was found by two S-NAP members who placed him in a safe
area out of reach of predators where he could be observed from indoors - The
mother continued to feed this fledgling and with minimal human intervention was
able to remain in the wild .
