This program is intended to help offset the cost of spaying and neutering feral, outdoor and barn cats. We understand that many times people do not choose pet ownership, in many cases cats have been abandoned in rural locations leaving un expecting people with a responsibility or the kind heartedness to feed and care for these now abandoned and displaced cats, that in time without being spayed and neutered will turn into countless numbers. Sadly cats have the highest euthanasia rates among all companion animals , while shelters and rescue groups devote countless hours and efforts to try to save and re home as many as possible there just aren’t enough homes for every homeless animal. The Fixin Ferals day is an attempt to help drastically reduce pet overpopulation through spaying and neutering.
Spaying and neutering will be offered at 20.00 per cat, more aid can be given for larger numbers of cats, i.e.: over run farms, barns or feral cat colines. All surgeries are performed by a licensed vet. Patients will be given an injectable anesthetic, pain and antibiotic injections, have a sterile surgical pack and will be continuously monitored with a pulse ox. PLEASE understand that this is a low cost spay and neuter program ONLY , no other services will be offered , each patient will be sent home with a list of local veterinarians’ as it is very important to provide yearly care including preventive care and vaccinations.
Let’s work together to end pet overpopulation!
